I’m organizing 2 more one day handcrafted events April 5th & May 3rd, 2025 at Death Valley Marketplace, 3280 Bell Vista Ave, Pahrump. Cost is $40 per date for a 10x10 space. Please note: 100% of the space fees collected are being donated to Donkeys of Pahrump (a 501c3 non profit) for medical & dental expenses being incurred for the rescues. I personally will pay for advertising in the paper and urge everyone to share the flyer on social media, invite friends & family, etc.

Setup will begin at 6:15am. The plan is to fill the spaces I marked as 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 for reference (see map) first and build each row out from them. Spaces will be assigned as vendors arrive. Friends who want to be next to each other should coordinate their arrival. The tour buses arrive at Death Valley Marketplace at 8am so that’s our target time to be ready. Current map shows 46 10x10 spaces. More can be added if there’s enough demand.

There are 4 spaces under cover (A, B, C, D) for cottage bakers. There’s room for a 6’ table or two 2’x4’ in an “L” (not provided). These are $30. Sign up & pay for all 3 dates and receive a 10% discount.

Closing time will be 4PM.

There will be at least one food truck plus the market will have hot dogs, chili dogs and maybe sandwiches by then. They also have coffee, a fantastic assortment of drinks, candies & Thrifty ice cream.

I started a GoFundMe for a dear friend in serious need of housing by August because the foundation has split, walls opened, plumbing broken & more in her rental. The house has been sold and will be torn down. The whole story is on the GoFundMe page at
https://gofund.me/4ac90df7. Every donation, no matter the amount, will be a huge blessing to her.

PLEASE consider sharing to your Facebook or other social media to help spread the word.

Thank you.

No regrets

Every minute someone leaves this world behind.

Age has nothing to do with it.

We are all in this line without realizing it.

We never know how many people are before us.

We cannot move to the back of the line.

We cannot step out of the line.

We cannot avoid the line.

So while we wait in line:

Make moments count.

Make a difference.

Make the call.

Make priorities.

Make the time.

Make your gifts known.

Make a nobody feel like a somebody.

Make your voice heard.

Make the small things big.

Make someone smile.

Make the change.

Make yourself a priority.

Make love.

Make up.

Make peace.

Make sure to tell your people they are loved.

Make waves.

Make sure to have no regrets.

Make sure you are ready.

This world will often leave you wishing you had just 5 more minutes. Feel free to share this powerful reminder on perspective and wake up each day realizing it is a gift and to make the most of it!

Quote from "Alive Until You're Dead" by Susan Moon

“…besides the longing for connection, is the longing I experience to be my full self, to offer whatever it is that I have to offer during my short individual life and do so without holding back. It’s a longing to be creative, something I believe is part of our nature. We are makers. We give back, and in doing so we move beyond our small selves.”

Blue Moon Framing returns!

I have decided to reopen Blue Moon Framing as of January 9, 2023. It will still be "By Appointment Only" so please call 775.513.1653 to schedule. Of course many of you have my personal number which can also be used.

Thursday, April 7, 2022

I recently received an email from a subscription list which contained this closing paragraph:

Spring is the perfect time to check in with your self-care routine. The questions I ask myself are:
Am I giving myself enough down time?
Am I being kind and loving to myself?
Am I respecting what my body needs?
Am I feeding my mind good stuff?
Am I leaving space for the truly important things?
These can be good questions to ponder when meditating.

It reinforces my thoughts earlier this year when I decided I MUST lose my extra weight THIS year. I am definitely giving my body what it needs to succeed. I also experienced a life changing experience a few years ago which insures I leave space for the truly important things. The point I have never succeeded at is giving myself enough down time.

I’ve pondered this for the last week and know I must decrease my outside commitments. I’ve decided to organize only two craft fairs in 2023 – Christmas in July and Spooky Jingles. {My thought was to organize just one – Spooky Jingles. Brandon convinced me to do two.} Organizing good shows takes an enormous amount of time. Organizing 5 shows per year greatly reduces my creative time to make my own products which is what I love doing.

I have mixed emotions but know it’s time to decrease the number of things on my plate.
