Received my acceptance for the 2023 Art in the Park in Boulder City, NV. Dates are October 7 & 8, 2023. I & my Blue Moon Art Studio will once again be in spaces #338 & 339 in Bicentennial Park.

Breaking news! My son Brandon Walker, White Tiger Creations, will have his first space at Art in the Park in 2023. He will be next to me in Space #340.

Quote from "Alive Until You're Dead" by Susan Moon

“…besides the longing for connection, is the longing I experience to be my full self, to offer whatever it is that I have to offer during my short individual life and do so without holding back. It’s a longing to be creative, something I believe is part of our nature. We are makers. We give back, and in doing so we move beyond our small selves.”

Blue Moon Framing returns!

I have decided to reopen Blue Moon Framing as of January 9, 2023. It will still be "By Appointment Only" so please call 775.513.1653 to schedule. Of course many of you have my personal number which can also be used.

I recently received an email from a subscription list which contained this closing paragraph:

Spring is the perfect time to check in with your self-care routine. The questions I ask myself are:
Am I giving myself enough down time?
Am I being kind and loving to myself?
Am I respecting what my body needs?
Am I feeding my mind good stuff?
Am I leaving space for the truly important things?
These can be good questions to ponder when meditating.

It reinforces my thoughts earlier this year when I decided I MUST lose my extra weight THIS year. I am definitely giving my body what it needs to succeed. I also experienced a life changing experience a few years ago which insures I leave space for the truly important things. The point I have never succeeded at is giving myself enough down time.

I’ve pondered this for the last week and know I must decrease my outside commitments. I’ve decided to organize only two craft fairs in 2023 – Christmas in July and Spooky Jingles. {My thought was to organize just one – Spooky Jingles. Brandon convinced me to do two.} Organizing good shows takes an enormous amount of time. Organizing 5 shows per year greatly reduces my creative time to make my own products which is what I love doing.

I have mixed emotions but know it’s time to decrease the number of things on my plate.

My art journal classes have moved online until the world around us stabilizes a bit. The 3rd Monday of each month I post a new one on my Randi Case Art Classes Facebook page. Decided to share them here as well. This is the image for 01/17/2022. You can freehand draw or print the black white version to glue in a journal and then use pens or colored pencils to colorize it. The color version is just a sample of what can be done.

Hope you will join our art journal journey!
